![]() Life is a lesson not a giftA Poem by Jonathan CuzBubbawicz![]() My life is a lesson of betrayal and healing from it. Things are never how they seem.![]()
In the whirlwind of trust shattered, where shadows creep,
You wander the corridors of sorrow, too deep. Fourteen years, a labor of love, now a ghost, A flickering flame of hope, extinguished, the most. The weight of betrayal drags you down lows, In a world once vibrant, a dark river flows. Eyes that once sparkled with laughter and light, Now mirror the storm of a restless, lost night. Surrounded by souls, yet oceans apart, Their kindness feels foreign, a thorn in your heart. What once was a sanctuary now feels like a snare, Trust, a frail whisper, floats lost in the air. Life was a garden, tended with care, Now thorny with doubt, it feels bitter and rare. The world once painted in colors so bright Now lies in grays steeped in unmoving plight. Yet, friend, hear this tremor amidst the despair" Your heart, though it aches, still beats with a flare. Each breath is a whisper to rise and reclaim The light within shadows, the umbra in flame. Though people feel hollow, like puppets in play, In the wreckage of trust, new paths may still lay. Let me not justify the pain you have felt, But offer a flicker, a chance to be dealt. There’s strength in your sorrow; it carves out the soul, Transforming the void, making broken things whole. In the depths of your anguish, a phoenix can soar, From embers of doubt, reclaim what’s in store. Life may be heavy and ravenous of grace, But healing can happen, if you find your own pace. In this twisted tale, where you’ve staggered and wept, Know the strength of your spirit, a promise, it’s kept. © 2024 Jonathan CuzBubbawicz |
