To the insulation manA Poem by Jonathan CuzBubbawiczOde to a man I met at the bar
To the Insulation Man.
In the neon haze where the laughter swirled, You stood, a thunderclap in a quiet world. With tales spun from gold, and conviction ablaze, You wore your heart boldly, in jubilant displays. Your voice, a cascade, both brash and sincere, Each word held a tale, each laugh drew us near. Yet, beneath the bravado, a gentler heart flowed, A man of respect where true kindness bestowed. Daisy, your companion, now rests with the stars, Leaving pawprints of memories, soft as guitar. In the echoes of joy, may you find solace and peace, As you navigate heartache, may your burdens release. May solid souls come to stand by your side, To lighten your load, as you weather the tide. I took your wise counsel, I cast off my chain, In pursuit of the ink, embracing the rain. So here, in the silence where creativity brews, I pen down my thoughts, inspired by you. And though paths may diverge as we wander this way, I hope to see you, dear friend, on a sunlit day. © 2024 Jonathan CuzBubbawiczFeatured Review
