Memories

Memories

A Poem by Jonny The Savage

I remember each and every night,
I was yours and you were mine,
And we would wait for the Sun
Just talking about everything and nothing.

But now I'm lucky if I get a chance
To see your face outside of memory,
And to hear your voice, or your laugh,
Is nothing more than a fantasy.

So here I am, watching the moon
Make its lonely journey
Across the somber night sky, just wishing,
That you were here to share it with me.
