A Poem by Jonny The Savage

Caught in a mirage
Of signs and pretty lights
Meant to catch the eye
And sway the wallet.

The epitome of desire
Lies just behind the threshold;
Many search for happiness
But no one ever finds it.

For all the money spent
On decorating and advertising
I find myself repulsed;
Wishing it had never been.

This land was once a beautiful forest
But now it's a parking lot;
The real tragedy is that
Everyone likes this better.

"Man was born to love",
Not slave his life away,
Hoping that he'd see the day,
When all his work would matter.

Isnt just silly
we all get drained in this cycle of nothingness

i would say the best thing a person can do
is spread happiness
through their work
i guess that would be nice
but we depleted nature by placing all these buildings
showing off really

nothing ?!!
