We (the passive sycophantic divided fools) sit on our hands, and yelp at others to take action, in perhaps one of the most deciding and momentous epochs in "acceptable" recorded human history. We argue day and night over issues which we have
absoulte(ly) zero influence whatsoever. I believe Juvenal describes our political atmosphere perfectly: "...Already
long ago, from when we
sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the people who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions -
everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things:
Panem et Circenses (Bread and Circuses). So, unwittingly, we join the
Circenses - with out side show: The Shriek of the Low Information Voter (but only
agent provocateurs,
shills and
figureheads receive
Panem for it.)
Another election cycle passes, but very few ever realize the paramount difference between
selecting and
electing.
