now watching the army march on the street
and seeing people leave their homes
asking for a better life
simply old men and women, kids, mothers, fathers
youth
i was so touched
and only then did i really feel i am Egyptian
Being there
it changes your life

There's more at stake than just pride and profit.
I remember watching live feeds of it.
Not that it really counts as much as being there :P lol.

The stars, the planets, the galaxies, etc ad infinitum.
But for now I'll have to settle for seeing them from afar.
That's what I want to see.
Cities with soul.
Ones that haven't sold their souls.
You know i read this and i felt so much
i attended the revolution in egypt when Mubarak was removed and then the Muslim brotherhood took over
Amazing but Egypt has so much depth to it
the most heavily cultured country with truth to everyone
they really love the country
and i have seen plastic culture
where people stand and fall for nothing
Egypt is fascinating
I saw a man raise a sword right infront of my car
and have been through so much
danger
Yet i didnt feel that throwaway feeling
i stuck around
and everywhere i go
the nile runs in my blood
that is how deep the culture is
but i sure as hell know of what you write here

I really would like to go to Egypt some day.
Perhaps you could show me around?
Because it sounds rather fascinating and I don't want to miss a thing.
I love the way you put that, "the nile runs in my blood that is how deep the culture is" that makes it sound like an amazing place and it's an amazing metaphor...you should definitely write a poem on that, it would probably be amazing too :D.
I feel like everyone does at this point, unless they're more overjoyed over the things we throw away then the people we in turn throw away.
