My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by The Fool
"

A freeform poem

"

And once more, in the darkness of this night,
Sleep so stealthily eludes me, though my search is heartfelt.
I lie in the blackness, hollow and cracked,
Searching for some way to fill the vast emptiness,
Of this gnawing hole that is my heart.
This night as well no such knowledge comes to me,
no such emotions bubble up.
I am left with nothing but the blackness,
and a heart like empty, molten glass.
