How do You Feel?

I don't know about you but more than often I feel down. I want to feel better so I . . . .

Is your heart burdened with grief upon grief?

Do you feel condemned or are you sensing no relief?

Are you constantly spinning out of control?

Like a baby, do you cry inwardly like so?

I felt sickness also to my soul;

You're not the only one running so slow,

But joy is found at the door,

Strangely, when I no longer satisfy my flesh.

When it is only God I love, adore, and explore,

I find myself fully refreshed.

You know this is true within your heart:

To love God and to love all men,

But the final truth is never let God depart,

For one will only sin, again.
