A Lesson by DeathA Chapter by Not A WriterWhen one dies, one can learn something from the event or occurances.I saw the plastic tubes in the house Where the heat was added and the lights dimly lit In the morning frost of December. I saw the couple's wrinled faces And their young vitality floating through the air. George calmly rested in the white cushion With lie at his fngertips by the tubes supportg him. Air flowed calmly throughout the room But for George breathing, this was war. Frita's eyes were continuallyon him In love and fear. So I learned by exampl Though time flies, man never changes. I left the house receiving this gift.
I was scared to go back. The birds were singing and the flowers were blooming But my joy was a wretch to care For how can I care for a widow? I came back to the house And She welcomed me like she had seen no one. She had seen no one. Her face was young as a teenager once again But my mindwas pierced with the thought, "Where are the tubes?" George is in the grace, to me he was great Because He stared at death in the face, But now the question remains, Will I change so I can be great? I left the house giving a gift. So what will you give others today? © 2010 Not A WriterAuthor's Note
