It's not because of me that I was saved but because He first loved me. That is my story.

That my Savior was crucified.

It's not because I pleased Him

Over sin and hell!

Grace to me!

 

Sin captured me

No light could I see

Till Jesus had set me free.

It's not because of my strength

It's not because of my wealth

It's not because I pleased Him

But because He first loved me.

Jesus died at the cross

Shed His blood for all.

Lovingly, he poured His grace to me.
