What Can I do Without You

What Can I do Without You

A Chapter by Not A Writer
"

As a bird searches frantically for his love. So do I for you.

"

What can I do

To set my heart free for you?

My soul yearns to drink of your love!

As a bird chirps day and night to find his love

So does my soul cry out,

“My love, my love, where art thou?

Let me have your presence and let us sing songs of love.”

After long callings from the bird he settles for rest

And he dreams . . . of his love.

He awakes and flies frantically to find his love

He chases through grasses and flowers

Both trees and bushes but could never find her.

Time passes by but his passion has never kindled.

He flies to the skies in pursuit for the one

The one to fulfill his happiness and joy

But could never find her.

He lands to sleep once more.

But tis not a regular awakening

For his love appeared to him.

He jumps up and darts lovingly to his love

Kisses her with passions of great joy

For he could not live without her.

So is my love for thee.

I have been searching,

But I have found you

Be near me, for I cannot live without you.

Ah, this was a really nice poem. Lines 4 - 7 had to be the standout lines for me. I'm really glad I stumbled upon this piece of work. Good job!
