Take the glory away from God; you will regret it and you will remember your life's work is but a show.

Let the Glory Not be Mine

 

I’ve been searching for a way

A way of absolute fame.

Unfortunately, I’ve just found

That there’s no way for it to abound.

 

I wanted to be known

So my glories shall be hone.

Yet, I’ve found a way

A way that led me to shame.

 

I’ve realized of my glories

Are of just fancy stories.

How dumb was I

My God I defied.

 

God wants the fame

So all will put glory to His name.

But this can’t be so

If your works are as a show.

Take the glory away from God; you take the salvation from others you witness too. God demands the glory for God is a jealous God. God prefers glory more than us which is why He created us: to have fellowship with him. We can't have fellowship with Him if we can't glorify Him.
