Does the Holy Spirit Even Exist?

This is a discussion concerning the existence of the Trinity

Matthew 3 records the baptism of Jesus. In this passage, God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ can all be identified acting in unison. Exodus 20 records, "I am the Lord your God . . . ." Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Skip to verse three of Genesis 1 and you read the activity of the Holy Spirit. So, here's my question to you:

Does the Holy Spirit exist?

If you disagree, explain your answer and give support for you reasoning.

I'm wondering if it isn't a little naive to ask such a fundamentally loaded question while at the same time admonishing your readers to play nice. This does not feel like an invitation that's irresistible. I commend you for trying to generate interactivity in your posting, but I wouldn't touch this question with a 500-mile pointer. This was posted in 2014 & it's now 2019, with social discourse being a million times more contentious than it was a mere 5 years ago. Also, keep in mind, this is an international website, so you can't assume everyone is Christian or knows the Bible as you seem to. One of the fundamentals of writing is to KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE. This posting gives me the idea that you could use some work in this area (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
