Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Jong Schrijver
"

Lies,liars, it's all ridiculous

"
You say you told one lie
But it weaves it's own tale.
So now you're caught in a web
Of fake this and fake that.
You better quit right now
Before you're completely submerged.
Because there's no way I'm saving you
When you drown in a sea of your own lies.

another well spoken metaphor that is easy to understand, which quite
frankly is rare and makes this poem even more enjoyable to read,
its a classic, sea of own lies, great imagery and depth, has a way of
playing on the readers thoughts with ease. awsome job!

Lies are often told to 'protect' someone else. But what we mean as protection is not always what they want and as you say, lies beget more lies until hurt to both parties occurs.

Nice comparisons, and good message.
