The elegance of summer and fun

You know those few times,

When life seems so simple.

You can hear the birds sing,

And see the clouds drift by.

When nothing could go wrong,

And everything seems so right.

 

The Friends

The Fun

The Laughs

The Memories

 

You smile as you lay,

Under the big oak tree.

And think that maybe for once,

life is being fair to you.

And you hear your phone ring,

It's your best friend calling you.

 

To Talk

To Chat

To Share

To Listen

 

You are way too bored,
You are out of ideas.

The heat is driving you crazy,

It's too hot to have fun.

You need a way to cool down,

It's time to jump in the pool.

 

You Splash

You Swim

You Dive

You Float

 

It's nice to just relax,

Sit back and contemplate.

The cool breeze in your hair,

The warm sun on your face.

You smile just because you can,

You wonder, Could it get any better?

 

Just Relax

Just Sit

Just Stare

Just Smile

 

The sun setting above you,

All your friends around you.

The beauty of the day's end,

And thoughts of a new tomorrow.

I wish it could last forever,

But summer fades too fast.

Summer DOES fade too fast. Nice poem, pretty different from your others in length and structure, but I can still hear your voice in it. Literary voice, like they taught us in elementary school...
I like this stanza.
