Why?

I wrote this awhile ago and I don't remember why o_O but I liked it so....here ya go.

Why do I speak,

even when no one listens?

 

Why do I try,

even if it's not worth it?

 

Why do I look,

even if it's not good?

 

Why do I care,

even when I don't want to?

 

Why do I listen,

even if it hurts me?

 

Why do I wish,

even if it won't come true?

 

Why do i question,

even when it's not a lie?

 

I speak because,

I have something to say.

 

I try because,

I'm not ready to give up.

 

I look because,

I have to see for myself.

 

I care because,

I don't want you to get hurt.

 

I listen because,

I need to know what you think.

 

I wish because,

I won't let my dreams go.

 

I question because,

I don't want to hear lies.

I love it. I just saw that you posted this. Like Rosalyn said, I like how the second part answers the almost desperate-sounding questions. This is really deep. Impressive if you wrote it a REALLY long time ago, and still impressive if you wrote it *somewhat* recently.

P.S. There's an uncapitalized 'i'!!! 7th stanza.

i like it it has a good rhythm even tho it doesnt rhyme and i like how the last part is the answers :)
