Teach the WorldA Poem by Jong SchrijverI wrote this awhile ago. One night I was laying in bed just thinking and this poem kind of wrote itself.
You know today the world has gone astray
The views we have cloud all the truth, Under skies filled with fog and uncertainty Yet we play each other as fools, when we don't even know It's almost like a civil war is playing out inside of us We fight ourselves over what is wrong and what is right We don't want to hear the other side of the story, Because every person wants to be the one who is right And when we finally discover that we are all right, That there are no facts but only opinions Then we can all join together as one, And teach the whole world that everyone is equal © 2010 Jong SchrijverAuthor's Note
