The Ugly Within

A sad, low self esteem poem.

Hateful whispers fill her ears

The words practically bring her to tears

The voices tell her she's a beast

A goblin, a gremlin

She can't recover from this viscous attack

Still she fights with her inner sin
To control the malicious Ugly Within.

A very well penned piece that flowed well. It's definitely a poem everyone can relate to on some level, whether feeling that way at times, or knowing someone who has.
