All My Leisions Have Remained

All My Leisions Have Remained

A Poem by Bejn Jonathon Edwards
"

Moving on in life and realising nothing has changed

"

How is it that I have lived so long
and ended up further than I was
Far behind
I couldn't find an escape from anyone
all my leisions have remained
I was scarred from belief

I stubbed cigarettes on my arms
just to dull the agony
I felt no difference
No pleasentries can placate the insincere

as close as you are to me
I still feel alone

I curse the morning sun and all it brings
that f*****g vanity ritual to appease myself
to appear as everyone wants me

I can't decide if I am giving up
or just letting go

The title appealed to me and I'm glad I read this piece. The last two lines of each stanza are deeply thought provoking and stand out to me. No matter how close we get, we still feel alone is a profound thought. A very interesting piece and one of your best.
