AssuranceA Poem by Jonathan Holleb
Assurance Across the plains And the land is left desolate When the ramblers have roamed Everywhere possible And they take their final rest As an end to endless quests When the acts of traveling shows Pack their bags And their acts come to a close When the plans you’ve made Have been tossed to the shade And have ended Unlike you supposed When answers have become nothing more Than what you’ll never know And questions aren’t worth asking When the atmosphere has become unclear And your orbit is way off track When your talents have lost their balance And you just can’t find your knack When the continuing toll of time Has worn down your soul And left you to the wolves When the shifting sands Have made demands And hope becomes dissolved When disaster lays around you In a pile that you can’t sort I will be the one To whom you can resort
