Uncertainty and DuskA Poem by Jonathan Holleba poem from about a year and a half ago...
Uncertainty and Dusk With the night on my back I walked through the dust Past all of the wonders and sights ahead I was unknowing of whom to trust In conversations left to be discussed With these words of wisdom my mind was fed With the night on my back I walked through the dust Through the corridors of memories and hallways of rust I traveled down ancient streets where life had been left dead I was unknowing of whom to trust Long I stood against the wind, reminded of its gust My life within the balance, it was hanging by a thread With the night on my back I walked through the dust Because to live in the now is nothing less than a must I chose to go forward, could have turned around instead I was unknowing of whom to trust These days find ways but can’t always adjust To remarks of tomorrows and words unsaid With the night on your back walk through the dust Although unknowing of whom to trust © 2008 Jonathan HollebReviews
