A MomentA Poem by Jonathan DaltonWritten 30 June 2013
I
find myself lying on dry ground, my eyes resting on the sky, the unkempt mosaic of leaves around it, the distant clouds, otherworldly but familiar, sky-long wrinkles, hearing a plane scrape past, feeling the warm, faint sting of recent sunshine, the breeze washing over me, for this moment, at least, content.
