The Field

The Field

A Poem by Jon of York
"

I wrote this poem the day after my 21st birthday after I had made love with a woman for the first time. Extracted from: "The Call" by Gary M. Gantney

"
THE FIELD

I Am giving the Field of intrinsical Life
To you my Childe, with my loving Light.
With what is given there is not strife.
As long as you strive for what is right.

The Field will be the mirror of your work.
If you choose to let the field have its way,
The insidious roots of the weed will lurk,
below the surface holding sway.

I love you with Father-Mother love,
My devotion never waning in strength.
Through my love much will come form above,
Though your 'i's' will not let you see at length.

The Field is giv'n to grow in the Light,
Be firm! Take a stand,
By all your might; Fight
A childe no longer but a Man.

Oh, boy. That sex is powerful stuff, driving a fellow to write poetry, as it does. It worked that way on me, too.
