Screaming Thoughts

Screaming Thoughts

A Poem by Jonathan Gutierrez
"

Inspired by a misunderstanding between me and my better half.

"
The strongest thoughts
     of two bickering minds
          Weigh nothing over
the embrace of two longing hearts.
When, at night, they are divided
with a wall they put between
Come, morning! a wall no more:
These hearts hold each other dear.

The loudest screams
     of frustrations in kind
          Begone with the whisper
     of a listening ear.
When sorrowful tears trickle on a cheek
          Quickly lend your understanding ear
     and say not a word, utter silence, clear;
Hence the whisper of a listening ear.

A beautiful poem is what I have just read. I feel the character is fighting within himself to come to an understanding of what's going on at the moment.
