A Journey to Mount Olympus

A Journey to Mount Olympus

A Poem by Jonathan Gutierrez
"

I can't believe I wrote this before. It's something figurative and will make you light up if you figure it out.

"
The wind howls behind the drapes of the room,
A man, resting from his toil, lies: dreamy,
With the blankets, a sash from what gives warmth:
An Ignudo painted, painted by the masters.
A single candle was lit, a small torch
Was all what was left of the darkness thick:
    A darkness so thick his skin was unseen;
A darkness so thick his eyes were unseen.

Then enters a young maiden who bathed,
The dark room was illumined by six wings:
Six wings of a seraphim, all burning:
A fiery one hissing the skin of those
Who bears touch to the perfection of skin.
She arrives and lights all the torches off
Then slowly crawls to the man who rests deep:
What awe does she have to show and exclaim?
She, herself, who is coveted by men:
How fortunate for the man to have her.
How fortunate for her to have the man.

She slides under the blankets and sweetly,
Sweetly kisses his yet unpelted skin,
Her kisses change when the chimes start ringing:
Slowly descending to the treasure trove,
Where all her wildest desires do come forth.
She slides under the blankets and sweetly
Sweetly kisses his yet unpelted skin,
Her kisses consume: her kisses strengthen:
Strengthens gold that melted from the day's heat:
This all, her wildest desires, was consumed.

She continues until the man hath stood.
She kisses. She continues. She kisses.
For little a time the man was no more
A subject to the Sandman's pure power.
The Sandman was nothing to Venus' gaze
He left without question, bid his farewell.

The ambrosia was almost empty when
The man, who from a deep slumber, took her "
Took her beside him " and had his damp lips
Touch the perfection " that is, her great skin.

The food for the gods grew more in number
As they reached the foot of Mount Olympus.
Together they enter a small dark cave.
They walk, and walk, to the peak of the mount.
They walked for hours on end, seeing nothing
Until they reached the peak of the tall mount.

All inhibition was taken back down.
Their thirst from walking was finally quenched
And they rested in the darkness and sat
And left all the world to where the Gods were.

And left all the world to where the Gods were.
And left all the world to where the Gods were.
