Dark Was the Hole That Housed You.

Dark Was the Hole That Housed You.

A Poem by Jon Buckley

Sombre was the life you led,

Greed was the taste on your tongue.

And deep was the hole that housed you.

Black was the colour of your heart,

Corruption was the muse of your dreams.

And dark was the hole that housed you.

Sin was the poison you wept,

Rage was the only truth you told.

And deep was the hole that housed you.

Vanity was the downfall of your legacy,

Your veins were the sewers of vile.

And dark was the hole that housed you.

Your path was grave.
