Maybe I'm rushing life, but tonight I'm imagining you and I
How things would be if we jumped the broom

Somehow I always picture your face in my soul
I see you even when I am truly alone
How is it that I still care for you
Even through all the things we've been through
Maybe because I remember the person you once were
Even though things have quickly changed in a blur

You say you love me, but I feign you
Memories aren't enough for me any more
So I create fantasies in my mind of things moving forward
Maybe one day in our destiny , I'll be coming home to you
And I can fall asleep at night, lying next to you
And wake up in the morning to find you're still there
