Stronger

Something i came up with when i realized that i didnt need a certain abusive guy

Im standing on my own feet

You thought you broke me?

I loved you

But love can only break someone

If the love was mutual

Im happy, smiling even

You thought you destroyed my smile?

You had to be able to make me smile

in order to destroy it

Im getting stronger

You're getting scared

I wont be your toy anymore

I wont put myself though that again

Not for you, not for anyone

Im standing on my own feet

And im screaming it in your face

Screaming that i dont need you anymore

Oh, Riley. I really love these words "You had to be able to make me smile in order to destroy it" Bravo!! It reminds me of the old phrase "You didn't make me, so you can't break me" This poem displays the strength of a young woman. Keep up this frame of mind, and you'll defeat your battles!

Wow, I wish I could go by this in my own life. Oh well, this is a great piece. I actually liked the screaming at the end. It shows in a powerfull, fed-up way that you are done with him. Great job Riley!

powerful! I think the screaming in the end was a small bit to much, kinda took away from the more self assured feeling that was coming out. perhaps a little gentler word. And one, should be own.
But other then that this got your message across loud and clear.
