SweetA Poem by Rachael...Beauty sits like cream on the surface of the bowl Rich and sweet Like warm butter syrup. Nausea spun around the bottle as I drank it in. Sugar coated smiles all around. And you’ve just got me balancing on insecurities. Drunk off flawless skin and soreless looks But I desperately need something bitter Just to take off the edge Of your smooth and porcelin lips Something so-called ugly That’s been shaved down to the quick. Let it grow my darling It’s just itching to break through. And we’ll have skin and stains shared over coffee. Bitter and dark like coffee should be. And it will always take me by surprise Cause it somehow it still tastes sweet to me. © 2011 RachaelReviews
