The Imprisoned DolphinA Poem by Olivia Ansa-SamIn the deep blue waters Where the tides rise and fall The dolphin, the smartest of them all In the water kingdom Splashes its pectoral fins, wags its smooth fluke And leaps many lengths Above the waters to display its intelligence The dolphin flaunts its love for mankind Fascinates mankind with its curiosity And leaps above the waters To reach the limitless skies Human kind is bedazzled at its brilliance
But soon the dolphin will be imprisoned by the dictators of the world The creators of boundaries and restrictions Have succeeded for a moment To restrict the leaps of the dolphin For a moment the dolphin Is unable to leap high out of the water to get air The dolphin is gasping for air- Gasping for air to display its intelligence Suddenly the dolphin is imprisoned But it is only for a moment Soon the imprisoned dolphin Will navigate Out of the waters To higher leaps and bounds. Soon the imprisoned Dolphin Will be free to leap to higher heights © 2015 Olivia Ansa-SamReviews
