She danced To the TuneA Poem by Olivia Ansa-SamThis poem is about facing the changing scenes of life without throwing in the towel. It hammers on adopting different strategies to beat the struggles of life as they occur. Dance to the tune of life! She danced To the Tune She heard the tune It tingled her feet She stood and began dancing The tune was solemn But the language was foreign She did not understand the words But she kept dancing The music changed This time the tune was faster So she changed her style and her steps were electric As she accelerated her steps, the dance became hectic But she kept dancing The tune changed again Some dancers on the floor got angry And left when the tune changed But she kept dancing to the tune “The tune of life may change but don’t stop dancing to the Tune” She yelled out to her fellow dancers. © 2015 Olivia Ansa-SamAuthor's Note
