Simplicity of Paper and Pen

Writing about writing.

The simplicity of an object such as this,

Was never thought to bring such bliss.

Sometimes notes from those who care,

Disappointment when such things come to tear.

So many uses, so many possibilities to come,

One use, an art form many deem as dumb.

With proper inspiration, come floods of emotion,

But are only transformed with true devotion.

Such things can produce beautiful pieces of art,

Not written from the mind, but written with the heart

Conveying pictures, with just a few words,

Helping the release of tightly caged birds.

Not always perfect, although wishing to be so,

Sometimes words do, and sometimes don’t flow.

Seeming to paint pictures, as if freshly drawn,

Colorful descriptions of thoughts well foregone.
