Fear

Fear

A Poem by Jokorium

Fear courses through my body,

The tremors pulse up and down my frame,

All I see is billows of black.

My body shakes at the very thought

Of all the hellfire I have fought.

I still hear the laughter,

I still feel the pain,

I still bear the scars

From blood flowing like rain.

The whole time I cried,

While all they did was jeer.

At the time, I wish I had died,

Now all there is is the fear.

Fear of having to face my past,

For if it comes back again,

This breath could be my last.

Dying in fear, fearing death,

Fear of what may happen,

As I take my last breath.
