'I need you. I love you. I need you. I love you. I need you. I love you. I need you. I love you.'

This endless rythmn continued on through the black night, no longer connected to a voice, instead following the incoming and outgoing tide beating, as the waves rolled into the shores, slowly removing the skeletal framework of Samantha's now discarded remains. The demons that had fed on her now left scratching their way back through the sands thankful for the mercy Lillith had shown them but worried of what was to come. Even though they knew she would find them all when Lillith was ready, the demons held out a hope that something would prove distracting to keep her consumed elsewhere on the miserable stained beach.

As thoughts were wondering of what Lillith was now doing, she had morphed back to the girl seducing Jonathan. He was startled by the presence of this girl as she came onto him but felt an overwhelming power of lust that he was not able to withdraw from. She began to seductively lick her fingers that had been caked with Samantha's innards, before pushing her breasts close to him almost smothering his face. Lillith knew the scent of his loved one would entice Jonathan and began to laugh at how easy he became attracted by temptation. Her tongue began to spread all over his body tasting him, eating into his mind and causing him to feel turned on and erect.

Then Jonathan saw something moving around him. He pushed the girl away as his eyes changed to horror. The bloodied embryo slid into view. Lillith sneered before grabbing Jonathan's shirt, ripping to expose his body. Now Jonathan could see the dead 'thing' clearly swinging from a belted umbilical cord tied to the girl.

'Get off me', Jonathan shrieked in terror as the embryo fell onto his bare chest then latched onto one of his n*****s starting to suck the life out of him.

'This is not real, this is not real' he screamed at the void between sea and sky, the void he now lived between.

A voice he had heard before came back to haunt him and tell him how wrong he was. Everything was very real.

'Your seed will be mine now.'

Immediately he knew what was happening. That girl had been the one who had spoken.

'That thing', she said before releasing the embryo away onto the rocks where it was quickly crushed and splattered, 'was your first spawn, but it is not written to be. In my book I will have you all to myself and f**k you to death for when you die so shall your father, my brother.......'

'My father? my father is your brother?'

' Yes,' came the reply,' I am Lillith the Queen of Darkness, your father is Djinn, a fool brother who was cast from the Kingdom of Doom. There cannot be two of us Jonathan. He came to this earth to produce a child, a futile attempt to bond with human kind and create beings that would defeat me. That is you.......and I see nothing to make me think you will have power over me. I have watched you exist and waited. The time has come, once you have fertilized another, made a further being, this will be the gestation to rule the world. Those pills you were once given were to prevent your semen from working and controlling your desire......so now I will have you and when the child is created Djinn dies. Oh, how I would love to see that happen.'

There was a sudden crackle from the sky. The moon appeared to splinter as words came forth -

'No! You will not have my son'

From the skies opening and Lillith making her prescence known to him, Djinn was ready. He had received a message from his son's protector that Jonathan was on his way. When he saw the girl come towards his son, he was confused, then when Lillith's demons appeared he knew the b***h sister had arrived. Djinn scanned the beach and saw him in the clutches of a woman creature he most despised, his sister, Lillith.

The earth shook and rumbled with evil. Incubi appeared with allegiance to Djinn and scrambled into the sands searching for the scared demons that belonged to Lillith. A furious ferocious battle began between the two armies. Quickly the beach became a dark red washed into the ocean at regular intervals along with pieces of flesh and dismembered body parts. The cries were sickening and Jonathon realised he had too much humanity in his body to stand and watch the pain.

'I love you. I need you. I love you. I need you. I love you. I need you. I love you. I need you.'

Jonathan said 'Samantha' quietly to himself, wishing she would suddenly appear and save him. He had no idea why but there was a feeling that their love would stop the fate that was upon him. To his surprise, between the warring factions, glowing in luminous white, was the woman he adored.

'I love you Jonathan but we were never meant to be.....neither was this.....and neither were you,' she spoke softly, in her voice lay a very human feel that seemed out of place with the surroundings .

Lillith, seeing the ghostly apparition threw herself upon Jonathan, knocking him to the ground, wrestling with his undergarments before sitting astride him. She had lost her beautiful woman incantation and was now the knarled hardened witch that caused fear to all who looked upon her. Lillith understood she had little time to get what she wanted, she felt the presence of her banished brother getting closer and the appearance of Samantha had scared her. Never before in Lillith's life had she encountered the presence of God but that could be the only explanation for the dead woman that belonged to Jonathan returning.

Djinn had seen the events and knew what was to happen next. He appeared morphed as a vicious tiger like creature and attacked his sister, ripping her face apart pulling out her brains hoping they would cease her movements. This was never going to stop her as the headless body pounded up and down on Jonathan, spurting black blood all around and on him. He could feel nothing anymore, his whole life seemed to have been forced out of him into the pulsating thrusting. Djinn pulled at Lilliths arms until they fell away, pushed his fist through her chest as he tried to pull his son away from the gyrations.

'NO! You will not destroy my son', Djinn cried.

For a brief second Jonathan's pleading eyes caught his fathers. Djinn felt 'love' for the first time in his life.

'I'll save you,' he shouted.

As he spoke everything went silent as Samantha came closer to the three bodies and looked over them. The hell on the beach began to freeze over. Suddenly she split in two and a vast white light came out absorbing Lillith, Djinn, Jonathan. The demons around the beach flamed into dust blowing into the sea and sand. The inferno on earth had been banished as the skies turned moonlit. Sparkling stars appeared and the swish and swash of the waves were heard gently washing away all the traces of what had happened.

Someone was crying.

A young couple walked along the beach arm in arm and in love. They kissed lightly, then stopped for a more passionate embrace. Taking advantage of the South African night on Cape Town beach they stripped each other naked. At first they considered plunging into the sea then at the last moment they too heard the crying.........of the demon child left on the sand waiting to grow in a new world.....

It's a great ending! (I say unabashedly since I've not read the rest of the book) In fact, I think it's perfect. The only part that seemed sort of off was the explaining..the "yes" came the reply part. But when I picture this as a movie...it does seem to fit quite well, and of course the explanation is necessary and I've no ideas on how to improve it. On second read it didn't seem bad....so maybe it was the sudden change from narrative to dialogue that threw me. So...never mind me.... I love this ending.....keep this ending!! I don't think too much happens here...it's the grand finale....you can't go too big with the grande finale or it wouldn't be grand!!! Excellent work, you two!!

A great chapter. There is a lot happening all at once and could use a little more explaining and a little more time is needed to slow it down a little, giving it time to be obsorbed. The overall work on this one is really good and it is moving well. The ending is very feesible though and ties in with the rest of the story. Sorry it took so long for me to get to this, but I couldn't miss out on such a great chapter. XX

This was a quick ending, but kept in tone with the last few chapters that have moved the story along.

If this was the ending, it left the door for many, many possabilities open.

The one thing this chapter did was left me assuming that Jonathan, Djinn and Lillith are all dead.

In all, well done.

Now, on the the last, last chapter...

yea i felt like you guys sort of rushed the ending a little bit, maybe elaborate more, put some more details into it. but good ending though, can't wait for the next part. its good that Djinn felt love for the first time toward his son, i just wonder what happened to everyone, i can't wait for the next part. it sucks though that samantha died, i'm old fashioned, i always look for the hollywood happy endings :P well good ending though, it just felt a little rushed. so don't take too long for the next part, i'm curious as to how it will go. well done you too, this was a great story!! :D
