Love (never finished)

Love (never finished)

A Poem by Jon
"

Unsaid lines, written

"
You're now nearly imaginary
and yet you captivate my capillaries,
mesmerize my memories
and entrance my dancing feet.

This eternal meet and greet
our souls have been tangling
is wrangling
every steam-eared stubbornness
every toe tapping impatience
every hazel eyed replacement
from the layers of my being
and i'm seeing.

That what i once cherished
has perished
in the eyes of mind own heart.
And at the start
a clever line, may
like twine
hold a stitch
or a knot
or a suture.

But

Some day in the future
when I've run out of pine and pencil
attempting to stencil the divine
that shines from your mind and
behind
the lines will be the me you seek.
Beyond shaky knees
and recipes baked in the fallacy
of a man and his mind's ideality.

The masks and identities
the tasks and obscenities
would fall at the hint of your breath.
our locked eyes would shine the glory
our locked lips would tell the story
never able to commit to words and pages

of rod iron cages locked from the inside
in futile attempts to hide
how badly our cells long to collide.

It's all a ride
and it's all a game
but deep inside
beneath that name
is a feeling.
A scent that has me reeling,
a treasure worth stealing
which has no proof of purchase
& makes gold worthless;
which churns sand from sapphire,
which lit the fire
under the funeral pyre
of my long dead desires.

Now all i require
is to admire the spark that lit it
the hair of the dog that bit it
the reason i cant quit it
is locked in that stare
I don't know where I can ride hide or stumble
and despite my will I know I will succrumble
bow humble and howl
through jumbled thoughts
mumble tumbling knots
of letters and dots
and guttural clots
and useless words that do NOT
get the picture anymore.
