To Hear Your Name

To Hear Your Name

A Poem by Lucien

To Hear Your Name

What corner are you hidden
behind my love? What bar greets you
nightly with comfort, clarity-
The life of a dizzy-eyed martyr?

I'm encumbered with thoughts of
you. The Images are bred and raised
into a montage of seemingly believable
truths.

I suppose your name is angelic,
something that rubs the air with
a reminder of how beautiful
intimate conversations can be.

I'm inebriated by the possibility.
A student of souls, I've dug until
exhaustion and flown through the
clouds. I welcome their critiques.

I'd toss away twenty years of life
like pennies that the dreamers cast
out of heavy pockets into fountains-
just to hear your name.

I'd toss away twenty years of life
like pennies that the dreamers cast
out of heavy pockets into fountains-
just to hear your name.

I found a very deep metaphor in these lines that spoke deeply!
