Valacom chapter 1

Valacom chapter 1

A Chapter by Johnnydaboss

“Huhh!” I gasped as I tossed my head back, just barely dodging the blade. Using the momentum from that, I threw myself forward and, placing my hand onto it, flipped myself over the man’s sword and darted forward. “Die!” The woman yelled, cracking her whip towards me: I threw myself to the right and pulled out my knife, so that her whip was immediately sliced into two pieces. I rushed forward and rammed  into her, knocking her down as I continued my escape. “Give up, traitor!” Another man yelled as he rushed towards me, a sword in each hand. Confident in my fighting abilities, I rushed forward to duel him. He slammed his sword towards me and I blocked with my knife, the clang of steel on steel echoing around the hallway. He swung his other arm around, and I leapt back so that he started to fall towards me. Running up, I grabbed him by the hair and pulled him towards me as I raised my arm, slamming my elbow into his back as hard as I possibly could. That definitely hurt like hell, I thought to myself, continuing to run: I didn’t wanna see what they would do to me after they saw what I’d done to Julian. “Hey!” I heard a voice yell, and I looked to the side to see the General, who was clearly pissed, running towards me. My heart racing, I sped up my pace, running as fast as I could to avoid certain death. I heard her throw something, and immediately rolled to the side, the thing exploding upon impact with the wall. It felt like my heart was going to burst, like I was going to pass out and die at any moment, but I continued to run, knowing that stopping meant certain death. I heard her throw something else, and started to panic: unlike before, there was nowhere to roll to, no spot that would save me. There was a window at the end of the hallway, but we were five stories up: jumping was almost certainly death, but being hit by the General’s item was certain death. I kept running, but my body started to show signs of slowing down: I started tripping over myself, it felt like I was choking, and, worst of all, I was starting to feel light-headed and nauseous, and I knew that I would pass out at any second. Despite everything in me telling me not to, I started to slow down as the object started to gain on me. Am I still going? Am I against the wall, about to die? Am I already dead? I thought to myself, right before I heard a shattering sound and everything went black.
