A Season for Two

A Season for Two

A Poem by Q.

Taking the chance to ask you to dance,
I took a deep breath and crossed the room
I offered my hand, surely you'll understand,
How I truly felt when I first met you

The light in your eyes made me realize
That Summer should never run away so fast
Autumn will go, Spring too I suppose
Darling you make my Winters lovely at last

With my arms around you, the moon will come through
And shooting Stars will follow closely behind
Your laughter in harmony in sync with the galaxies
Meteorites will brighten our nights

You whispered..

"Can this be rewritten, using words left unspoken
So our story will continue with no twist
Because your smile is my life, your touch is the fire
That keeps me from ceasing to exist

As Heaven as my witness, I sincerely pray
For eternity to stay for a night
Because I'd trade all that I am, and give more than I can
To be held like this for all of my life"
