Birds and Foxes

Birds and Foxes

A Poem by Q.

The birds sang of memories

The foxes played with dreams

The trees danced with the Summer wind

As star lights kissed the sea

Voices echoed from our past

While we drifted towards the start

Turning our backs away from the pain

That brought sadness in their hearts

"Where do we go from here my Love?"

I slowly squeezed your hand

"To a place where no one knows us my dear,

A place we'll understand"

So as the world burned slowly behind our backs

A new light shone before our eyes

With Forever shining in the horizon

We sailed in Paradise

So, Lean close to me my Love, take heed of what I'll whisper in your ear,

Let's wrap ourselves in the sweet summer night, and count the stars till they disappear

Let's wish on every shooting star and hope on every cloud

Sail away to the east instead of the west and fly north instead of south

Swimming in an ocean of grass and running across the Seven Seas

Flying together hand in hand, breathless with no worries

And when the world chooses that they don't need our Love

Then we'll cross the stars and galaxies,

Because this world was never enough
