The Way She Looked

The Way She Looked

A Poem by John Walker
"

A Beauty that captured me...

"
The Way She Looked : By John D. Walker

She captured my gaze when she looked my way
She was so sensual, mysterious, so all alluring
For a moment, I found I could not look away
My eyes locked, captivated, so all enduring

Afraid of loosing control, not wanting to be the fool
Waiting for the right moment, if there would be
Then she was gone, while I only held my cool
I look back wondering, now her is all I can see

A moment lost, could there have more
Lost in a memory, dwelling on the unknown
Her lure holding my mind on a distant shore
Wanting her close, for all that has not been sown

What should I have done, as I could only look on
Hoping for more, my life goes on, for my being only willed
Wishing and only wanting, we have become only but a pone
If you would be mine, for only moment, my soul now fulfilled

"A moment lost, could there have more

Lost in a memory, dwelling on the unknown"
Those lines stood out for me in this nice , well penned poem...:)

Again, some of the grammar and misspellings are a bit disconcerting, but this is a mysterious, graceful read. Good job.
