A Simple Love Poem

A Simple Love Poem

A Poem by JohnThomIV

Eyes like the first green leaves in spring,

Making their way to come see me.

Not sure if I will be ready.

I’ll probably melt to my knees.

No ivory tower too tall,

For me to climb and scale the wall,

To see your beautiful smile,

One more time just before I fall.

If you don’t get what I’m saying,

Mirrors can help by relaying

The same beauty that I’m seeing

While we face each other laying
