You

You

A Poem by JohnThomIV

It’s hard for me to write about your unique beauty

Every idea or thought that comes up isn’t enough

You could be the soft violin in an orchestra,

But the beauty of your soul is the symphony.

You’re like a mosaic, every piece is beautiful,

But your sweet impurities are what make you stand out.

Enchanting just like the sublime stars that sing out loud,

You’re every small star that makes the night sky bountiful

You’re every line in an affectionate love poem

But you’re the reason poets write down their affection.
