Aromas of YouA Poem by JohnThomIVThis is about a relationship that ended and finding closure.
I light my candle for my room,
Who knew it would smell like you? The candle light starts to extrude, Aromas of Jasmine start to plume. Remember our first date, under the moon? Sitting so close, there was no leg room. Time spent together, we only grew, Grew distant, we became a silent tune, Four years headed towards our doom. Find you a man who has no gloom, One, who finally understands you, This time we split with less volume, Alone in the dark where I’m reminded of you, It’s time for bed, I’ll put out the candle's fuse. © 2024 JohnThomIVAuthor's Note
