Peaceful FieldA Poem by JohnThomIVThis poem is about my happy place and the peace that comes with it. It talks about me being there and the struggles that lead me to go there.
So peaceful in an empty field,
Nothing but yourself and the wind, The grass waving and clapping, Blue sky with big clouds revealed, With sun beams that have dimmed, Past memories coming and happening, Every soulmate gone without yield And every friendship that has thinned, My woes growing and overlapping, Scars from the past left unhealed, Emotions that drown and won’t mend, I wish to be quietly napping, In this peaceful, empty field. © 2024 JohnThomIVAuthor's Note
