Very good and well written.
I have to say the line "a torrent of emotion" kind of disturbs the flow of the whole poem, but it just be me and my OCD of rhythm and flow.
On a positive note I really love the line "You are singular in the universal metropolis and centre of the all." love the imagery "universal metropolis" very nice. :)

Tis a wonderful place Castlerigg....very inspiring.
Stone circles so mysterious. Your piece is described beautifully. They hold such a mysterious power. I love how these stone circles are located in various parts of our world and we have no idea what they were for, only speculations. Well written, keeping with their mysterious nature.

This stone circle at Castlerigg certainly has a power over me. Thanks
I would really love to read the first chapters of your debut novel John - once i get myself some time. I know this poem is a part of that. Having said that, I think this has a lot of standalone qualities.. I have been always fascinated by the myths and mysteries that surround the Stonehenge, but this poem touches upon so many other things - like the fact that our mortal lives are really immaterial in the vastness of the universe.. It talks about seclusion of life and the circle of continuity. I loved this. A great, powerful write
