Embracing Father.

Embracing Father.

A Poem by John Phoenix Hutchinson.
"

Have you ever had a dream as powerful as this???

"

-----------------

Somber, I entered slumber.
Hoping to escape the pain.
Dark depression, had a hold on me.
Tender soul, brokenhearted slain.

As I fell into my dormancy.
Something happened, like never of yore.
Vibration, then hands lifting me up.
Naked, through mystical door.

Finding myself by childhood home.
Standing by pond, crystal clear.
Fishes swim with elegance and grace.
Feeding on my falling tears.

Suddenly, I hear my late Father cry out.
On a bed, he's prostrate before.
Kneeling beside, with my arms held aloft
I collapse and fall to the floor.

Awoken, by the warmth of his breath
He has entered my mind with his grace
"John do not seek darkness and death."
Weeping, we both embraced.

Waking up to a dream that feels so real and bring tears rolling down your eyes is heartbreaking. I am sad for your sorrow. You have expressed your sentiments well and have shown us the deeper side of your depression, which I know can be hard to share. This is troubling on your mind. but I am glad you were able to get it down. Thank you for sharing my friend.

Thank you so much Lilly and glad it touched you.
I have had dreams after my dad died, speaking to me and woke up feeling I could almost smell him in the air.. such powerful dreams that shook me and made me cry. Your poem moved me, I am so happy he was there for you in your dream to help you through the darkness. You obviously needed him and he was there for you even after death...beautiful write about escaping darkness or keeping it at bay.

A vision that had a real effect on me. Thanks for review
Your tears are like a cleansing part of your own universe my dear poet.
Keep on awake like this, the less pain you definitely shall feel... face it, see it,
Embrace it, and you will be stronger, strong good lyrics here. I adored the sadness and sorrow, because I saw a flower growing in beauty, and a new beginning, in future.

Thank you E.L you have sent me a strong message as well.X
Emotional ....... A sadness runs throughout this well written poem, we all look back, don't we? Yet we need to move on and live our lives as happily as we may....enjoyed.

Why u up so late? 3-30am you should be sound asleep...then again so should I.
