The Hermetical Alchemist (Secret Knowledge)

This poem holds "Secret Knowledge" you will not understand in one reading. To become initiated in the Universal laws......READ AGAIN AND AGAIN!

All is one but the truth is seven.
The Alchemist takes the steps to heavens door.
The principles and universal law unfolds.

Gender! Manifested in the physical plane - sex!
Creation generation regeneration.
Mental spiritual lustful.

Cause and effect! Chance is but a name.
Pawns on the chess board of life?
Or causation on a higher plane!

Rhythm! The pendulum swings.
The tides go in and out.
Measured in motion, the action & reaction

Polarity!! Everything is dual.
As opposites in a mirror.
Hot & Cold poles apart of the same paradox.

Vibration! Energy of spirit.
The smallest atom to an entire universe.
Its all in motion! It never stops to rest!

Correspondence! As above so below.
Another complex paradox.
A key to mental transformation.

Mentalism! One and all the same.
Unknowable undefinable infinite.
Welcome to the path of mastery!

I lay before you pearls of wisdom.
The truth lies within.
Mystery???

This is complex to say the least. i am trying to decipher each stanza, but I think the complexity is the point here. One in all the same? Underlining different sides of of spirituality? Or the universe in which we live. The bigger picture, yet we are in existence .. I could be off here. I did read this over and over as suggested by you :)
The mystery of what lies ahead, the complexity of life? A truth within ourselves?

Usually, when I read an enigmatic poem, I feel an inner resentment and impatience. Oddly, I didn't experience that with this poem. It didn't feel pompous, but lovingly fun with serious intent very evident. The universe is telling me to put it in my favorites and read, as suggested.

I think I just fell in love with a poem.

The way you wove the words of this is spectacular. It's like a tapestry within a tapestry, a multilayered painting where parts of the picture bleed off into a symphony and then become thought, taste and touch. Excellent.

What you describe herein ties perfectly into something I read before about multiple layers of reality, making all paradoxes not merely possible, but factual. This is so very deep...

Definitely going into my favorites list.

As a random side note, the only thing that could have made it better for me is if you had somehow managed to get all of that in seven stanzas with seven lines each. Come to think of it though, I might try something like that.
