A Holy Night

A Holy Night

A Poem by John Doeadeer (Pen name)
"

I wrote this around 10:34 PM of December 24 - yes, its Christams Eve - and it's all about Christmas.

"

Party here, party there,

Ten thirty-seven, the night's bare

But I just decided to sit back

And gaze at the stars in the black.

I saw Pegasus, or was it?

Oh the stars, so brightly lit.

I could feel the subtle rush of cold

As I sit around and the darkness fold.

The night gets deeper and colder

Yet the blast of sounds are getting louder

But I can't hear them--yes, I can't

for this solemnity abandon, I can't.

In the pitch-black night

With the stars so bright

A name was written,

"JESUS", on the skies.

The stars, the smiling crecent moon,

Sent me a message, I read so soon:

Our Godhead, tonight went down our level,

To continue God's plan as mankind's sequel.

So live ye the meaning

of Christmas in its being

It's the birth of our beloved Savior,

Be happy, pray wholly, for we'll live forever.

About
I am John Doeadeer, and I'm using this to hide my identity as writers often do, as our literary world is full of danger... I am a huge fan of the classics of Shakespeare, Lord Tennyson, Hawthorne, .. more..
