my word

my word

A Poem by John Cuttito

this poets word

is meant to be heard

and expressed, undressed

this poets soul

though never whole is often

distressed, impressed

and caressed by the notion

of something new and the

motion of something blue

a borrowed lne its true

i want to fall through

this wall of possibilities

break on through

this fall of sensibilities

i want to lose my mind

lose my reason

lose the cohesion of this season

and come undone

i want this word to be heard

and know your ear will hear

and disregard the fear

that keeps us here
