The Ever Ending Story

The Ever Ending Story

A Poem by Cougarsmark
"

Loving someone to an end is like an abyss that never truly ends but is always ending.

"

I am so sorry you had to love me

We were so good for so long and so grand

And I hope sometimes you think better of me

For letting go of your abyss bent hand

Your dark eyes watching the darkness around you fall

Naked forever and known only to my mind

A creepy ignorant shattered thing I recall

Looking down upon your chasm as if blind

I have been there before you alright

Falling ever falling hoping not to end

Distant ever distant farther from my night

Knowing it is real, not madness nor pretend.

I am suddenly back on the ledge of the canopy

Promising in error to save even one of yours from me!

Author's Note

Cougarsmark
I have copied a friend's style. It seems cumbersome to me. Forgive me if I err and think I really did it this time.
